How to Get Clients Online as a Coach or Service Provider

Discover the 4 types of content you need in your social media strategy to sign clients consistently.

Here’s the truth no one tells you when you open up your social media accounts at the beginning of your business journey: not all content is created equal.

You can post every day, but if you’re only sharing “nice content” — the kind that entertains, educates, or inspires but doesn’t SELL — your bank balance won’t change.

So what’s the secret? What kind of content do you post to get clients online?

The secret is that you need a mix of content to move your audience through the entire buyer journey. And that’s exactly what my F.A.N.S. framework does, which I’m going to breakdown for you in this post.

F = Follower Growth Content

Purpose: Get fresh eyes on your brand.

This is your “reach” content — reels, trends, shareable posts, and SEO-friendly content on platforms like TikTok and Pinterest.

Without this, you’re only ever selling to the same small pool of followers and that’s a fast-track to slow sales and eventually, no sales.

Examples:

  • Trending Audio Reel: A quick tip using a viral sound (“Here’s the one hack that changed my sales game...”).

  • Carousel Post: “5 mistakes keeping you stuck at £3K months.”

  • Story Poll: “Do you struggle more with [content ideas] or [selling your offer]?”

  • Quote Graphic: A bold, relatable statement that makes people hit ‘share’.

  • B-Roll Reel: Text overlay: “The painful truth why most coaches don’t hit 10K months.”

A = Authority Content

Purpose: Position you as the expert.

This is where you share insights, frameworks, counter-intuitive truths. Authority content makes your audience think: “She knows her stuff. She’s the coach/service provider I want.”

Examples:

  • Reel: “3 ways I help my clients sign clients from stories (without ads).”

  • Carousel: “Inside my 6P Story Sales Flow — the exact method I use.”

  • Case Study Post: A client who hit £12K in 7 weeks.

  • Educational Caption: Break down your VINO system in plain steps.

  • Mini-Training Story Series: 3–5 slides teaching a bite-sized strategy.

N = Nurture Content

Purpose: Build trust + deepen connection.

This is the behind-the-scenes, storytelling, relatability content. It’s what makes people feel like they know you — and people buy from people they trust.

Examples:

  • Behind-the-Scenes Reel: Your workday, client wins, or prepping for a launch.

  • Personal Story Post: Share your own leap from corporate to coaching.

  • Carousel: “Things I wish I knew before launching my first group program.”

  • Polls & Question Stickers: Invite followers to share their struggles.

  • Celebration Story: Screenshot of Stripe/PayPal with a message about how grateful you are.

S = Sales Content

Purpose: Convert browsers into buyers.
This is the piece most people skip. Clear invitations, direct CTAs, and content that shows your audience how to work with you. Without this? You’re just running an awareness campaign for free.

Examples:

  • Carousel: “Who Content Club is perfect for (and who it’s not).”

  • Story Sequence (6P flow): Problem → Pain → Possibility → Poll → Position → Prompt (DM me SALES).

  • Reel: “What you get inside [offer name] — explained in 30 seconds.”

  • Testimonial Graphic: Client quote with results + CTA link.

  • Countdown Story Sticker: “Doors close in 24 hours — last chance to join.”

The Secret Sauce: The Balance

Most coaches overdo “Follower” or “Nurture” content and underdeliver on “Authority” and “Sales.”

But when you rotate all 4 types consistently, you create a content ecosystem that:
✨ Attracts dream clients
✨ Positions you as the authority
✨ Builds trust
✨ Converts to cash
